FAQS
Starting Therapy
Beginning therapy is a meaningful step, and it's normal to have questions along the way. We created this FAQ section to help you better understand our approach, what to expect, and how we can support you as you begin your healing journey.
-
Yes! We offer both in-person and online therapy to make it easier to access the support you need.
Our in-person office is located at 3641 Lancaster Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Salima Shah currently has immediate openings for both in-person and virtual therapy sessions for individuals living in Pennsylvania.
Rosa Vitti also has immediate openings and provides virtual therapy for individuals throughout Pennsylvania.
Hannah Guy, the owner of Revive Therapy Services, currently offers virtual therapy for adults residing in Pennsylvania and Colorado and has very limited availability.
If you're unsure which therapist or appointment format is the best fit, we're happy to help you find the option that best meets your needs.
-
No. Our therapists do not prescribe medication. As licensed mental health professionals, we provide psychotherapy but are not licensed to prescribe psychiatric medications.
If you're interested in medication management, we recommend working with a psychiatrist or another qualified medical provider. If you'd like, we're happy to coordinate care with your prescribing provider (with your written consent) to help ensure your treatment is collaborative and well-supported.
-
That's completely okay. We believe you should have as much autonomy as possible throughout your therapy journey.
As trauma therapists, we understand that there may be experiences or topics you're not ready to discuss and we'll always respect that. You will never be pressured or forced to talk about something before you feel ready.
Healing happens at your pace. We'll work collaboratively to build safety, trust, and coping skills while honoring your boundaries. Your comfort and sense of control are an important part of the therapeutic process.
-
Your concerns are valid, and we believe it's important that you feel safe, seen, and understood in therapy.
Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process. If it's important to you to work with a therapist who shares aspects of your identity or lived experience, whether that's race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, culture, religion, disability, or another part of who you are, we encourage you to seek a therapist who feels like the best fit for you.
At Revive Therapy Services, we're committed to creating an affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment for every client. While not every therapist shares every lived experience, each of our clinicians is committed to ongoing learning, self-reflection, and providing care with cultural humility.
We also recognize that empathy is not the same as shared lived experience. It's our responsibility to listen with openness, continue educating ourselves, acknowledge when we don't know something, and remain accountable if we make a mistake. It is never your job to educate your therapist about your identity or experiences.
If you feel another therapist whether within our practice or elsewhere would better meet your needs, we'll support that decision. Our goal is to help you find a therapist you feel comfortable with, because the right therapeutic relationship is essential to meaningful healing.
-
At Revive Therapy Services, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds and identities. Our goal is to provide a safe, affirming, and inclusive space where you feel seen, respected, and supported.
Our therapists work with adults, and Salima Shah also provides therapy for children and teens, allowing us to support clients across a wide range of ages.
We proudly work with individuals from many different communities and lived experiences, including:
LGBTQIA+ individuals
BIPOC communities
People in larger or smaller bodies
People with disabilities
Individuals from diverse cultural, religious, and spiritual backgrounds
People from all socioeconomic backgrounds
Whether you're seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, life transitions, relationship concerns, or simply looking for a therapist who values inclusivity and compassion, we're here to help. If you're unsure which therapist is the best fit, we'd be happy to guide you toward the clinician who best meets your needs.
-
Absolutely not.
One of the most important things we want our clients to know is that we don't see people as "crazy" or "broken." We see people who are doing the best they can with the experiences they've had and the challenges they're facing.
At Revive Therapy Services, we approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and a trauma-informed perspective. Instead of asking, "What's wrong with you?" we ask, "What has happened to you?" or "What experiences have shaped the way you're coping today?" We recognize that many thoughts, emotions, and behaviors develop as ways to survive difficult circumstances, manage overwhelming emotions, or adapt to life's challenges.
Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, or something you can't quite put into words, you won't be judged here. Our role is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and support you in creating the life you want, not to label or criticize you.
You deserve to be met with empathy, respect, and the belief that healing is possible.
-
We're so glad you're here.
Getting started is simple. Once you reach out to Revive Therapy Services, our Intake Coordinator will contact you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about what you're looking for, answer any questions you have, and help determine which therapist may be the best fit for your needs.
If you decide to move forward, we'll help you schedule your first therapy appointment, complete your intake paperwork, and make sure you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
Our goal is to make starting therapy feel as easy and comfortable as possible so you can focus on what matters most; your healing.
FAQS
Fees & Policies
We know that questions about cost and policies are an important part of deciding if therapy feels like the right fit. Our goal is to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible so you can feel informed and supported from the beginning.
-
Revive Therapy Services is currently a private pay therapy practice and we do not bill insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which may allow you to receive reimbursement for a portion of your therapy costs.
We are happy to help you understand whether your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits and provide you with the documentation you need to submit for possible reimbursement. This includes providing monthly superbills that you can send to your insurance company.
If you have questions about payment options or want help understanding your benefits, please reach out! We're happy to support you through the process.
-
Yes. Some clients choose private pay therapy because it offers additional privacy, flexibility, and control over their treatment.
When you use insurance for therapy, your provider is typically required to submit information such as a diagnosis and documentation to demonstrate medical necessity. This means that insurance companies may have access to certain details about your mental health care.
With private pay therapy, there is more privacy and autonomy around your care. You and your therapist can focus on the goals that matter most to you without the need to meet insurance requirements for diagnosis, treatment frequency, or medical necessity.
Choosing private pay therapy is a personal decision, and there are benefits and considerations to both options. We're happy to help you explore what feels like the best fit for your needs, preferences, and circumstances.
-
At Revive Therapy Services, we offer individual therapy for children, teens, and adults through both in-person and online therapy options. Our therapists specialize in supporting clients with:
Body image concerns
Anxiety and depression
Relationship and attachment concerns
Our session fees vary depending on the therapist you choose:
Salima Shah: $180 for a 50-minute session
Rosa Vitti: $140 for a 50-minute session
Hannah Guy: $250 for a 50-minute session
All sessions are private pay, though some clients may be eligible for reimbursement through their insurance company's out-of-network benefits. We are happy to provide superbills and help you understand your options.
If you're unsure which therapist or service is the best fit for you, our Intake Coordinator can help guide you through the process during your free consultation.
-
We make paying for therapy as simple and convenient as possible. Revive Therapy Services accepts credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards for private pay therapy services.
If you have questions about payment options, fees, or using your HSA/FSA benefits for therapy, our team is happy to help.
-
This is an important question, and we believe having open and transparent conversations about the cost of therapy matters.
The cost of therapy reflects much more than the time spent together during a session. Behind each appointment, therapists spend time preparing for sessions, reviewing treatment goals, completing documentation, consulting with other professionals, participating in supervision, and continuing education to provide thoughtful, effective care.
At Revive Therapy Services, we intentionally maintain manageable caseloads so our therapists can be fully present and engaged with each client. Quality therapy requires time, energy, and the ability to build a strong therapeutic relationship, not simply filling as many appointment slots as possible.
Private pay therapy allows us to provide personalized care while prioritizing your individual needs, treatment goals, and overall experience. We understand that therapy is an investment, and we are committed to providing care that is compassionate, intentional, and focused on meaningful change.
-
We require 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments (no-shows), will be charged the full session fee. This policy allows us to protect the time reserved specifically for you and gives us the opportunity to offer the appointment time to another client who may be seeking support.
We understand that unexpected situations happen. If you have questions about our cancellation policy or need support navigating scheduling concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
-
At Revive Therapy Services, we believe that quality therapy extends beyond the time we spend together in session. Our commitment to you includes the work we do behind the scenes to ensure you receive thoughtful, ethical, and effective care.
In addition to your therapy sessions, our therapists dedicate time to reviewing treatment plans, completing documentation, consulting with colleagues, participating in supervision, and continuing education to stay current with evidence-based approaches and interventions.
Becoming a licensed therapist requires extensive education, clinical training, supervised experience, and ongoing professional development. Our clinicians are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care by continuing to grow their skills and stay informed about the most effective ways to support our clients.
Private pay therapy allows us the flexibility to provide personalized care while prioritizing the therapeutic relationship, your individual goals, and the quality of support you receive.
