Introducing Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) at Revive Therapy Services

A New Path Toward Healing

We’re excited to share that Revive Therapy Services is now offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) — a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach that can help clients access deeper emotional healing and lasting change.

We’ve partnered with Journey Clinical, a specialized medical team that works alongside licensed psychotherapists. Their clinicians conduct all medical assessments and prescriptions for ketamine, ensuring each client’s safety and suitability for treatment. Our therapists at Revive focus on the emotional and psychological process — preparation, therapeutic support, and post-session integration — so that every experience is grounded, intentional, and effective.

What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy combines low-dose ketamine (prescribed and overseen by medical providers) with psychotherapy before, during, and after the dosing session. Rather than being a “quick fix,” it’s a deeply guided therapeutic process that helps the nervous system access, process, and release emotional material that may be hard to reach through traditional talk therapy alone.

Ketamine has been safely used in medical settings for over five decades. When administered in controlled, low doses, research shows that ketamine can help alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic stress — especially when paired with structured therapy.

What makes KAP so unique is its ability to enhance neuroplasticity, the brain’s capacity to form new neural pathways and rewire old patterns.

Imagine this: when you ski down the same hill every day, your skis carve the same grooves into the snow. Those grooves represent your familiar thoughts, beliefs, and emotional reactions. Ketamine acts like a fresh snowfall — suddenly, those old grooves soften, and you have the opportunity to carve entirely new tracks.

Therapy during and after a ketamine session helps you shape those new pathways intentionally, building emotional flexibility and long-term healing.

Who Might Benefit from Ketamine Therapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy can be especially supportive for individuals who:

  • Feel “stuck” despite months or years of traditional therapy

  • Experience treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress

  • Have difficulty accessing or expressing emotions

  • Want to deepen their healing journey in a safe, trauma-informed environment

  • Are curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy but want a medically supervised option

Each client’s process is individualized — designed to meet you where you are in your healing journey and support you in moving forward with clarity and compassion.

How the Process Works

The process begins with a medical evaluation through Journey Clinical. Their licensed clinicians review your physical and mental health history to ensure ketamine is a safe and appropriate option for you. If approved, they handle all prescriptions and collaborate closely with your Revive therapist throughout the process.

From there, you’ll work with Hannah or Salima for a series of preparation and integration sessions.
Preparation sessions help you build trust, set intentions, and feel grounded before the dosing experience.
Integration sessions — held shortly after your ketamine session — focus on helping you make sense of what surfaced, connect insights to daily life, and integrate meaningful changes.

We offer both in-person and remote KAP sessions:

  • In-Person Ketamine Therapy: Conducted in a calm, comfortable space at our office, with your therapist present for grounding and emotional support throughout the experience.

  • Remote Ketamine Therapy: Conducted via secure telehealth, with a trusted chaperone present in your home and your therapist connected virtually to support and monitor you in real time.

Both options are designed with safety, accessibility, and client comfort in mind.

Why Ketamine?

Unlike many medications that simply mask symptoms, ketamine helps create conditions for deep, sustainable change. It increases glutamate — a key neurotransmitter linked to learning, memory, and growth — and enhances neuroplasticity, allowing your brain to “reset” long-standing emotional and behavioral patterns.

When combined with therapy, this window of openness can accelerate healing that might otherwise take months or years. Clients often describe feeling more connected to themselves, more compassionate toward their past, and more capable of making meaningful shifts in their lives.

Safety and Clinical Oversight

At Revive Therapy Services, safety always comes first.
Ketamine therapy is conducted under strict clinical guidelines and medical oversight.

  • All clients are screened by licensed medical providers from Journey Clinical, who specialize in psychedelic-assisted care.

  • The dosing, formulation, and frequency are tailored to each individual’s needs.

  • Your Revive therapist stays in close communication with the medical team throughout the process, ensuring continuity and safety every step of the way.

Ketamine has a long-standing record of safety when used appropriately and is one of the most well-researched psychedelic medicines currently available.
